Mold remediation — done to carrier-grade standards.

Florida's humidity makes mold a chronic problem. We don't just bleach the surface — we contain, filter, remove, treat, and document to IICRC S520 so your remediation passes independent clearance the first time.

What We Do

Container, filter, remove, treat — then prove it's gone.

Florida mold remediation is heavily regulated. Licensed Mold Remediators operate under Chapter 468.84 FS and must follow containment protocols to prevent cross-contamination. We follow IICRC S520 — and we recommend third-party clearance testing so your results are independently verified.

  • Containment barriers — 6-mil poly, zipper doors, negative pressure
  • HEPA air filtration (AFDs) sized to room volume
  • Removal of non-salvageable porous materials
  • HEPA vacuuming and antimicrobial treatment of remaining surfaces
  • Moisture source correction — remediation only works if the source is fixed
  • Post-remediation verification (PRV) by independent assessor
  • Reconstruction under the same GC license

FAQ

Mold questions Florida homeowners ask

Mold is usually covered only when it results from a covered water loss (pipe burst, appliance leak) and is addressed promptly. Long-term moisture neglect is typically excluded. Florida policies often cap mold coverage at $10,000 unless a buy-up was purchased — check your declarations page.

Pre-remediation testing by an independent Mold Assessor is recommended when scope is unclear. Post-remediation verification (PRV) is often required by carriers for clearance — we coordinate a third-party assessor to maintain independence (a remediator cannot test their own work in Florida).

Small localized remediation (under 10 sq ft) often completes in 1–2 days. Larger jobs (Category III per IICRC S520) take 3–7 days plus rebuild. We give you a written timeline after first inspection.

No — and doing so can make it worse. Bleach doesn't penetrate porous materials and doesn't kill spores below the surface. Worse, disturbing a mold colony without containment releases millions of spores into the rest of your HVAC. If you see visible mold, contain the area and call us.
